ONLINE APPLICATION FOR THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC YEAR
حلحلآ» University announces for the information of the general public, applicants, parents and guardians that online applications are open for the admission of prospective applicants into various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Important: Applicants are advised to visit the University's website and carefully read all relevant information and guidelines for prospective applicants before applying.
Guidelines on How to Apply
All applicants must sign up using an email address and a password. Ensure your email address is active and valid. A verification link will be sent to the email address you provide. Click the link in the email message sent by حلحلآ» University to verify your account. If you do not see the verification link in your inbox, check your spam box.
Step 1: Sign up and Verify your Account
Visit the university online Admissions portal at: to Sign up and verify your account.
For New Applicants:
- Click on the "Online Application" button
- Click on the "Create Account" button
- Fill in the required details to set up your new account
- Student receives an email with the registration number already invoiced application fee
For Existing Users:
- Click on the "Login" button
- Enter your Email and password to access your account
- Continue your application or check your application status
After verifying your account, proceed with the payment of application processing fee
Step 2: Payment for Online Applications and Normal Fees
Option 1: Payment for Online Applications
All applicants MUST pay their online application processing fee at any of the branches of the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank or via Mobile Money (Africell network). The cost of the application processing fee is NLE 500 for all programmes.
Payment Process:
- Student creates account at حلحلآ» University MIS portal
- Student receives an email with the registration number already invoiced application fees
- Student pays application fee via Bank or Mobile Money
- The payment is forwarded to the حلحلآ» University MIS portal
- Student continues application process
Option 2: Payment for Normal Fees
- Finance officer at حلحلآ» University generate invoice to students
- Student enter his/her registration number at Bank or Africell USSD
- Student gets a list of invoices on his/her registration number
- Student chooses an invoice to pay
- Pay for the invoice
- The payment is forwarded to the حلحلآ» MIS
NB: For Options 1 and 2, make sure you have an Admissions Portal account set up before making payment for application processing. Visit to create an account if you don't have one.

General Admission Requirements for Graduate Programmes
A. Taught Masters Programmes
The basic requirement for admission into a postgraduate programme at حلحلآ» University is a degree from a recognized university in the relevant field of study. Departments may, however, demand additional requirements.
B. M.Phil and PhD Programmes
The Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees of حلحلآ» University are, essentially, research-based degrees awarded to candidates of outstanding academic and professional standing. Admission into these programmes, therefore, is based on several criteria that the candidate should meet. These include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Possession of a first degree of at least Second Class, First division (2:1)
- Possession of postgraduate qualification (PGDE; M.A.; M.Sc.; M.Ed. etc.)
- Clear articulation of a research focus to be contained in the Abstract submitted with the application form
- Evidence that the candidate is in touch with or has identified a competent supervisor in the University willing to supervise him/her is an advantage

Masters Programmes:
Full-Time: Two (2) Calendar Years
Part-Time: Three (3) Calendar Years
