🎓 Undergraduate Requirements
To gain admission into an undergraduate degree program at the School of Basic Sciences, applicants must generally satisfy the following:
WASSCE/GCE 'O' Level
A minimum of five (5) credits in a single sitting or six (6) credits in two sittings. These must include credits in English Language, Mathematics, and at least three other relevant science subjects (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Agricultural Science), depending on the specific program of interest.
A' Level/HSC
Candidates with relevant passes at the Advanced Level or Higher School Certificate may be considered for direct entry into the second year of a program.
Higher Teacher's Certificate (HTC)
Holders of an HTC (Secondary) with a science specialization from a recognized institution may also be considered for admission.

Admission requirements for postgraduate programs (MSc, MPhil, PhD) are as follows:
Master's Programs (MSc/MPhil)
Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree with at least a Second Class Honours (or its equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline from a recognized university. A detailed transcript and, in some cases, a concept note or research proposal may be required.
Doctoral Programs (PhD)
Candidates must hold a Master's degree (MSc or MPhil) with a significant research component in a relevant field from a recognized university. Applicants are required to submit a comprehensive research proposal and may need to demonstrate their research potential through publications or other academic work.
