Overview

ONLINE APPLICATION FOR THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC YEAR

حلحلآ‏»­ University announces for the information of the general public, applicants, parents and guardians that online applications are open for the admission of prospective applicants into various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 academic year.

Important: Applicants are advised to visit the University's website and carefully read all relevant information and guidelines for prospective applicants before applying.


Guidelines on How to Apply

All applicants must sign up using an email address and a password. Ensure your email address is active and valid. A verification link will be sent to the email address you provide. Click the link in the email message sent by حلحلآ‏»­ University to verify your account. If you do not see the verification link in your inbox, check your spam box.

Step 1: Sign up and Verify your Account

Visit the university online Admissions portal at: to Sign up and verify your account.

For New Applicants:

  1. Click on the "Online Application" button
  2. Click on the "Create Account" button
  3. Fill in the required details to set up your new account
  4. Student receives an email with the registration number already invoiced application fee

For Existing Users:

  • Click on the "Login" button
  • Enter your Email and password to access your account
  • Continue your application or check your application status

After verifying your account, proceed with the payment of application processing fee


Step 2: Payment for Online Applications and Normal Fees

Option 1: Payment for Online Applications

All applicants MUST pay their online application processing fee at any of the branches of the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank or via Mobile Money (Africell network). The cost of the application processing fee is NLE 500 for all programmes.

Payment Process:

  1. Student creates account at حلحلآ‏»­ University MIS portal
  2. Student receives an email with the registration number already invoiced application fees
  3. Student pays application fee via Bank or Mobile Money
  4. The payment is forwarded to the حلحلآ‏»­ University MIS portal
  5. Student continues application process

Option 2: Payment for Normal Fees

  1. Finance officer at حلحلآ‏»­ University generate invoice to students
  2. Student enter his/her registration number at Bank or Africell USSD
  3. Student gets a list of invoices on his/her registration number
  4. Student chooses an invoice to pay
  5. Pay for the invoice
  6. The payment is forwarded to the حلحلآ‏»­ MIS

NB: For Options 1 and 2, make sure you have an Admissions Portal account set up before making payment for application processing. Visit to create an account if you don't have one.


Application Deadline

The DEADLINE for submission of applications is 31st August 2025

General Admission Requirements for Undergraduate Programmes

A. Undergraduate Degree Programmes

The University's requirements for the Degree Programme are five (5) Credits in WASSCE or its equivalent including English Language in not more than two sittings.

Applicants should note that there are additional school and departmental requirements.

B. Certificate & Diploma Programmes

1. Higher Diploma Programme

  • Admission into the Higher Diploma in Nursing (SRN) and Community Health and Clinical Sciences (CHO) programmes requires Five (5) Credit in WASSCE including English Language in not more than two sittings
  • For the Community Health and Clinical Sciences (CHO) programme, candidates with Community Health Assistant Qualification (CHA) plus Five (5) years of working experience can apply

2. Diploma Programme

Admission into ALL Diploma programmes requires Three (3) Credits in WASSCE

3. Certificate Programme

Admission into ALL Certificate programmes requires Two (2) Credits in WASSCE


Duration of Programme

Unless otherwise stated:

Undergraduate Degree Programmes: Four (4) Academic Years

Higher Diploma Programmes: Two (2) Academic Years

Diploma Programmes: Two (2) Academic Years

Certificate Programmes: One (1) Academic Year
