ًں” School Vision

ج‎

The heart of teacher education in Sierra Leone; producing graduates who are leaders in the field of education, practice, and research while also assisting the country in achieving its education goals.

ًںژ¯ School Mission

ج‎

To be a model for effective educational practices, encourage a culture of creativity and lifelong learning, and give students opportunities to develop in curriculum, research, and pedagogy.

ًں“‹ Justification

حلحلآ‏» University's mission is to provide primary school teachers in the Southern Province. The new School of Basic Education aims to ensure that teachers are prepared for the primary and junior secondary education sectors, supporting and preserving the value of free, compulsory basic education as stated in Sierra Leonean education policies and laws as well as the UNSDGs.

The schools will pursue research projects based on pedagogy, experience, and collaborations that support local and global growth, in addition to continuing to provide flexible, pertinent, and creative courses and programmes. The establishment of a School of Basic Education will lead to a greater emphasis on the foundational levels of the education system.
